Tr Crochet Stitch: How To Do Treble Crochet Stitch

The treble crochet stitch, also called the US triple crochet, is one of the basic crochet stitches. It is frequently used in crochet patterns and is typically one of the first crochet stitches learned by beginners in the craft. The treble crochet stitch is taller than the double crochet stitch, making it a good choice for certain projects. If you have already learned how to double crochet, then learning how to treble crochet will not be difficult. The treble crochet stitch is worked in a similar way to the double crochet stitch, but with an extra step.

Materials 

Yar

Any DK weight yarn. 

Tool

3mm crochet hook. 

Tapestry needle.

 

Instructions

Slip knot, start with chain 15.  

Row 1: yarn over hook twice.  

Insert hook in the 4th ch from hook, yarn over hook, pull up a loop (4 loops on your hook).

Yarn over hook, pull through the first 2 loops (3 loops on your hook). 

Yarn over hook, pull through the next 2 loops (2 loops on your hook).

Yarn over hook, pull through the last 2 loops (1 loop on your hook). 

*Yarn over twice, insert hook in the next chain, pull up a loop (4 loops on your hook), yarn over  hook, pull through the first 2 loops (3 loops on your hook), yarn over hook, pull through the next 2  loops (2 loops on your hook), yarn over hook, pull through the last 2 loops (1 loop on your hook)*,  repeat * across the row.

Row 2: ch4, turn, *Yarn over twice, insert hook in the next chain, pull up a loop (4 loops on your  hook), yarn over hook, pull through the first 2 loops (3 loops on your hook), yarn over hook, pull  through the next 2 loops (2 loops on your hook), yarn over hook, pull through the last 2 loops (1  loop on your hook)*, repeat * across the row. 

Repeat the previous row until reaching the desired length. 

Fasten off, Weave in all ends.
