Am I reading the pattern for the grinch legs scarf pattern correct in supplies needed. 6 skeins of yarn for green and red; 5 skeins for white
No, that’s just the weight of the yarn. Super bulky yarn has a weight of 6, like most worsted yarn is 4.
The numbers after the words super bulky weight mean the weight. Yarn is designated weight with numbers — #1 being super fine to #6 being super bulky. You probably need one skein or less for each color.
No the numbers are referring to yarn weight
IMO, the numbers represent the weight of the yarn. Average weight yarn is a 4. A 5 would be bulkier and then 6 even bulkier. You will find the number on the label. No way should this pattern take 6 skeins of green.
I used 1 skein of the green. I didn’t count the rows, just used up the yarn. You hardly use any white or red, so 1 of each color is plenty.
I’m going to attempt to translate those feet into a knit pattern, unless someone already has, then I’d appreciate a copy of the pattern
Since I don’t crochet, do you have the pattern in knitting
If I double the instructions, i.e. 8 sc’s would be 16 sc’s, would that work to use a standard weight of 3 rather than 6? It is becoming rather difficult to find this year in this weight and colors. Not sure how to translate to a smaller yarn.
I’m using a (4) weight yarn, but I’m using the dc. I like what you’re thinking is, though. I may try that.
I can’t even GET the pattern, so I have no idea about anything.
All I’m referred to is advertising.
