This pattern is very easy and creates a very unique stitch.
Once pattern is established it is just a repeat so Blanket can be made as big as you like.
Perfect for a new baby and would make a gorgeous shawl or heirloom
The border on this blanket could be used to finish off any blanket and it is so easy et very elegant.
What a beautiful stitch pattern! It looks hard but is really easy to make. The photos and video tutorial you'll find on Lisa's site will make crocheting this stitch even more easier.
For the baby set and blanket I used the beautiful Snuggly Sirdar 4 ply ( 2 x 100grms for the blanket…with a little left over, which actually made the booties ( I cannot get over how beautiful this yarn works up for baby items- HUGE fan of this yarn
I used a 3.5mm hook and pattern is written in US terms.
Notes: This is actually based on the Classic Fantail Shell stitch but worked in the round.
I have added a video tutorial I found on youtube of the basic stitch pattern.

Thank you
I need to make this!
Thank you
Pretty blanket but to keep the border from ruffling, I had to use a size 2.25mm hook. In addition, I reduced the treble crochet stitches to: ( in the 2 ch part of each V st) 1 dc 3 ch sl st 3rd ch from hook, 1 trc3 ch sl st 3rd ch from hook, 1 dc3 ch sl st 3rd ch from hook .
Stunningly awesome pattern
simply beautiful
