This is a very beautiful dishcloth and a pattern that requires intermediate beginner crochet skills. Named after her maternal grandmother, Alwine's Dishcloth by Melinda Miller is made using the Crochet Cable Stitch. This stitch creates a rather dense texture which is very pretty and interesting as well, works up fast and is easy to make different sizes. If you are a visual learner and want to learn how to make this stitch, please watch the video tutorial on the next page.

Love this pattern
I made two blankets with this stitch back in 1980! Loved it and it was so easy!
Really pretty
Where’s the pattern? Never could find it
Click on the link just above the picture. Then click on “Alwine’s Dishcloth”. It should take you to Ravelry, where you can download the PDF and print it.

There is also a video. I like to use those when a pattern includes a stitch I haven’t used before.
