This is actually so much easier than you may think! Flip flop soles are so comfortable and learning how to turn them into really beautiful and comfortable slippers is really handy. Summer is here and this is the right time and way -and by the way, so cheap too! – to make yourself or others a few colorful, comfortable, summary slippers. The How To Crochet Slippers With Flip Flop Soles photo tutorial and pattern available at Make and Do Crew is simply brilliant!

I am working on these now for my daughter. It’s a bit awkward.

I think someone that crochets should make me some of these. Hint, hint Cheri Adamson Benitez.
Meredith Hawkins Pitt. I think I would use as support not as s true sole ???
i love these
A flip flop? I think it could work … If you get enough you support from a flip flop. For me, I probably wouldn’t get enough support.
I bought some cheap flipflops to try soling slippers, but I am gonna glue them on the full slipper afterward. Also I like to add an extra layer (sewn in crocheted insole).
Samantha Seifert was you able to get this patern
I can
Kimberly A Cika-Powell a new project for ya 🙂
Tonya Mulford

I think you could make the slippers and add insoles to them. Using a hole punch. Probably easier.

Excelent, congratulation.

Toshia Kenyon
Leah Stubb
Darlene Shaw Asencio are these ones you were wanting?
yes
Lois Jopchak can you make me a pair of these???
I did the same. Had to revamp the pattern to make them stay on, which included making the front higher than shown here. Hard to crochet also because of the flip flop being so solid it doesn’t bend.
Really awkward
Had the same problem. Finally had to revamp the pattern for the front & use decrease stitches to make it skinnier.

Roberta Dirks Albright
Cheryl Fowler here it is again! Do you have it?

I would definitely think making the front come up higher would help, as long as you can still get them on.
Yes I do
i am using a cotton yarn, like one would use for a dishcloth

Hi crocheters of the planet I have a question . . . does anyone know if the yarn separates from flip-flop after a few wearings?
Mikayla??
No. I’ve been wearing mine for months and no problems so far
Me neither. The trick is to give yourself good spacing and depth when poking the initial holes. I’ve had mine since last summer and they’re great.
Cute
Here is mine that i made
Tiens, Catherine, autre chose qui serait pas mal beau. 🙂
Can’t wait to try.
Maybe put some gorilla glue on the stitched edge
