I have ready access to Peaches & Creme cotton yarn. Is this the same as the yarn you used? Also, what is the US equivalent for the hook? Looking at the video, seems like the hook may be larger and the yarn lighter. Can you help please???

This pattern is impossible to make with US cotton yarn. DK light worsted cotton yarn is not available anywhere. The stores the crafter uses are in England!!

I got it at Joann Fabrics. Its Bernat and called cottonish
I made one and love it.
I have only found 2 here in the states. Patons Grace and Bernat cottonish. They are both Dk weight

Every dish towel I have made get a funky mildew smell no matter what I do. Also they get stained badly. For me, it is just not worth the time to make my own only to have them go in the rag pile.

I have used premier cotton blend worsted 2. Works up great and quick, its just a pain to do the tartan stitch finishing. Very time consuming but love the pattern

This patter is fairly easy, except for the constant changing of colors. The slip stitch across that makes the pattern is time-consuming, also. All that being said, this is not a speedy project, but the end result is lovely.

I’ve made about a dozen of these. Although they look beautiful it takes many hours to complete one.
Yes, they do take quite a bit more time to make these, but I really like the look. I’ll just make this once in a while and stick to a more basic pattern most of the time.
