Does anyone have a closer picture of this? I’m trying to find out what stitch my Grandmother used on all her blankets. Wondering if this may be it.
Baby blanket
It is one of the easiest blankets I’v made. My sisters still have the ones I made there kids. Variegated yarn make nice patterns.
So pretty
I have got to make this one
How do you the pattern? If you are posting then you need to let people know how to find the pattern.
Phyllis , the pattern is always linked to the name of the pattern OR you can find it just below the picture where it says: Check out the original source for this pattern with all the directions and full written pattern at …..followed by the proper link. Hope this helps!
I cant get to the pattern tried several times. takes me to AXS. where can I get it even if Ihave to pay for it. You should have a link directily to the pattern and not all this drama trying to get it. Please help.
Hi Paula, sorry for the late answer, I was not sure what’s happening. Indeed, the Examiner site redirects to AXS starting a few days ago. Apparently, they took the Examiner site down, therefore the patterns are not available for the moment. I redirected the links to ravelry where the designer has her own page and I guess for now we’ll just wait to see where this pattern is going to be made available, hopefully pretty soon. Sorry for the inconvenience, will update asap. Thank you!
the link just brings me to AXS website, can’t find the pattern on it. 🙁

anyone have the actual pattern
Thank you for the pattern.
( Marie Anne St. Jean on Examiner) if you click on this after you click on the picture above it will take you to the pattern.
Maybe this one too !!!!
What’s the name of this stitch, please
The recommended yarn is discontinued, and the stitch pattern is very common.
Yawn.
Shew! Finally found it. It’s called the grit stitch.
The mixed grit stitch, actually.
This is actually what it is. Scroll down and you’ll see how to do the “mixed grit stitch.” The pattern uses this stitch and a discontinued yarn, so if you want to closely replicate the picture, use a bulky yarn and the size hook that’s called for on the yarn label.
The link worked for me..
Thank you for the pattern

I’m a beginner, but I might try this..

It’s really confusing to get the pattern. But got it

Mimi Santiago yo quiero hacer esta
Looks huge for a baby blanket, love the pattern and the color. Will have to check this out.
Have you done any of the CAL’s ( crochet along) I stumbled on them last week. They post sections of the pattern every 2 weeks and then you have time to do the motifs before the next part. Check out Stylecraft. Com they come out of the U.K. And there is even a FB page so you can share your progress and discuss any questions you have with others all over the world.
Just finished 2 like this – 1 in Pinks & 1 in Mint green …… very easy pattern ……

This sounds like the houndstooth stitch
Here’s my version.
You can search on ravelry.com for “done in a jiffy” baby blanket. I have this same pattern on Pinterest but when I followed the link it will not open for me either and I know that I have printed it from there myself.
Pretty much. It’s a sc and dc in one stitch.
Try looking on ravelry.com for “done in a jiffy” baby blanket.
I use this pattern when I have been working on complex (for me) patterns and want a no-brainer.
Oh, it’s a perfectly good stitch pattern. I guess I was referring to the fact that the pattern itself isn’t really necessary.
I was also being pretty snarky. Maybe I was having a bad day?
Thank you!
if that doesn’t work I can copy and paste it to you
It works, thanks. 🙂
Is there some kind of a trick to finding the right link for this blanket?
I have no luck opening it

Working on this one now! Super easy!

Yes, it does help. Thank you for responding. I was getting a little frustrated there. I’ve gotten familiar with your page and I really do like it very much. It’s my favorite crochet page. DailyCrochet.co
I found the link in the middle of a sentence of the paragraph. It was highlighted for the link.
It really is. I made it. 😉
Would make great lapghans for Nursing home and hospitals.
I would really like to make this, but I can never open this!

Lion Brand Baby’s First Yarn, 6 skeins to complete pattern as written. Color used in photo is Beanstalk, which is a pretty pea-green color.
Size M (9.0 mm) crochet hook
NOTE: There was a disparity in the hook size that has been corrected. The pattern calls for an M hook with the bulky yarn.
Abbreviations
Ch = chain
Sk = skip
St = stitch
SC = single crochet
DC = double crochet
Done in a Jiffy Baby Blanket Pattern
With size M crochet hook and Baby’s First yarn, ch 79.
Row 1: DC in third ch from hook, *sk 1 st, SC and DC in next stitch (both in same stitch), repeat from * across, ending with sk 1 st, SC in last stitch. Ch 2, turn.
Row 2: DC in first st (turning ch counts as the SC), *sk 1 st, SC and DC in next stitch (both in same stitch), repeat from * across, ending with sk 1 st, SC in last stitch/turning ch. Ch 2, turn.
Repeat row 2 for entire pattern until you reach the desired length. Cut yarn, weave in ends.

HERE IS A COPY OF THE PATTERN IF YOU NEED..
Thank You!!!
I can’t get to the pattern.
I tried to find that particular yarn to make this, but Lion Brand discontinued this yarn. Is there another yarn that is comparable to it? If so, please let me know. Thanks. I want to make it for my niece who is expecting her first child.
The patterns you post are great. I belong to a prayer shawl ministry and we knit and crochet prayer shawls and baptismal blankets and the patterns are very helpful.
Cheryl Ulen
Thank you very very much for the pattern

It is a bogus link it links directly to AXS.com
I searched for it on Google and this is what I found here is a working link for a pattern. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/blanket-stitch
Everytime I click the link it takes me to The Latest on AXS.
I’m beyond frustrated trying to get the pattern.
The link is not working. Keeps sending me to axs.com
Doesn’t work for me, another jinx.
All I am getting is AXS site, waste of time
