There is no increasing or decreasing and it is all done with simple single crochet and chain stitches. The hat starts with a chain, and is slip stitched to join and worked in the round. It almost looks knit or woven, and is very cute for a teen or anyone who loves trendy styles.
You will need:
Size F Crochet Hook
2 skeins Caron Simply Soft in Grey Heather (It may only be one skein. I made this with two partial skeins)
Scissors
Tapestry Needle

Welcome Vivian! Happy to hear this!:-)
I think I’ll make this, but I’m going to put around 5 rounds of sc at the beginning so this will fit over my ears and be warm. I also think I will start decreasing the amount of stitches towards the end, so I won’t have so much to gather or cinch in. Just so I don’t decrease too much and cause the finished cap to look too pointy on the top!
