I love the colors in this 18,000 stitches throw blanket. It is stunningly beautiful! Would you believe that this is a throw made by someone as a first project? This 18,000 Stitches throw-sized afghan made by Kristine of Kristine In Between, is an easy project. So easy, you wouldn't believe it. She's giving away for free her very simple pattern and the source for random stripes design on her blog. If you need help with the double crochet stitch, please go to the next page to watch the video tutorial I chose for you.

Such a beautiful throw! You’re such an inspiration Kristine!
I like the idea of knowg how many stitches sumone luvgly puts into their work.
Thank you so much for all of the kind words! 🙂
So welcome Kristine! Thank you for the lovely pattern and for the inspiration! 🙂
Beautiful ? The colors maybe, but there’s nothing “pretty” or challenging about a double crochet blanket….sorry!
It would be pretty challenging to someone just learning or to my 8 year old who is just learning. It will be the most beautiful blanket I’ve ever seen. What’s easy for one isn’t always easy for the other. Maybe something you should remember.
Mia Cotto Even if a TEENAGER made a double crochet blanket as a first project, it would be beautiful as well, but considering the caliber of the other designs this site offers, this is the ultimate in “meh”. And … if your eight year old has enough tenacity to complete a double crochet blanket (that she doesn’t lose interest in the project long before its half finished), I’ll give you AND her “props”.
Always a critic around geez!
Love the color

Michelle it’s crochet too
I’ve made this blanket twice and I love it. Makes a beautiful gift.

Beautiful job
How to stick
To make a afgan how long should the starting chain be
I use worsted weight for afghans using an H or I hook and chain approx 220 or so this makes about a 52 inch width, just chain and measure the length you want
Very pretty colors, sure hope no one actually counted the stitches…..lol
Sounds good. Thank you

couldn’t get pattern to download
Getting to the pattern from the FB post is not an easy thing. I have tried and given up a couple of times. I think if they are going to post they should be sure the link words well.
Love the colors and simplicity of the pattern…..that’s what make it so unique and beautiful.
Its beautiful but getting the pattern isn’t, tired of this site, says free pattern but you can’t get it without downloading stuff, I don’t download anything I’m not sure of.
